Rules and Regulations

The prize available is the stud fee for the breeding service for one of the listed fifteen Morgan stallions for the 2024 or 2025 breeding season (not including any applicable collection or shipping charges).

The estimated average value of the prize is $2,500. The value of the prize will be considered ordinary income for federal and state tax purposes and the winner may be required to pre-pay a portion of the tax liability before receiving the prize.

Approximately 90% of the ticket price will be used for the charitable purposes of the New England Morgan Horse Association in connection with the New England Morgan Horse Show. The Internal Revenue Service takes the position that no portion of the ticket price will qualify for deduction as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

Winners may not sell, assign, or otherwise transfer the breeding service to another individual or entity. Winners will be required to sign and abide by the service contract for the applicable individual stallion.

If the stallion should die, become unsuitable for breeding, or its frozen semen destroyed before the winner breeds a mare, the stallion owner has no further obligation.

In the event of any dispute between them, the stallion owner and winner will not hold the New England Morgan Horse Association or the New England Morgan Horse show liable and will indemnify each against any liability or expense.

Depositing this ticket or any other material related to the sweeps in the mail is a violation of federal law and may lead to criminal prosecution.
