Rules and Regulations

By buying a ticket in the raffle, the prize available is the stud fee for the breeding service for one of the listed 18 drawings for Morgan stallions or group of stallions for the 2026 or 2027 breeding season (not including any applicable collection or shipping charges).

The estimated average value of the prize is $2,500. The value of the prize will be considered ordinary income for federal and state tax purposes and the winner may be required to pre-pay a portion of the tax liability before receiving the prize.

Approximately 90% of the ticket price will be used for the charitable purposes of adding prize money to a specific class as selected at The Morgan Gold Cup Regional Horse Show. The Internal Revenue Service takes the position that no portion of the ticket price will qualify for deduction as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.

Winners may not sell, assign, or otherwise transfer the breeding service to another individual or entity. Winners will be required to sign and abide by the service contract for the applicable individual stallion.

If the stallion should die, become unsuitable for breeding, or its frozen semen destroyed before the winner breeds a mare, the stallion owner has no further obligation to the ticket holder and the ticket is null and void.

In the event of any dispute between the stallion owner and the drawing winner, neither party will hold the Morgan Gold Cup liable for the outcome. Any liability or expense incurred will be resolved solely between the stallion owner and the drawing winner.
